Solyndra and Cylindrical Solar Tubes

Solyndra, of Fremont California, has created cylindrical solar tubes that are generate more power and are less expensive to install per square foot than traditional solar panels. It unique cylinder structure, coupled with thin-film technology, captures more of the suns rays and has less resistance to wind.

Solyndra's product is aimed exclusively at the commercial rooftop installer. And it has not gone unnoticed with US$1.2 billion in back-orders.
